The Oyo State Police Command has confirmed the arrest of a 27-year-old man for the alleged defilement of an eight-year-old girl, a neighbour, in the Elebu area of Ibadan. According to an official press release dated January 3, 2026, and circulated on the Command’s verified social media channels on January 4, the suspect, identified as Olaitan Oloyede, was apprehended following a report lodged at the Moniya Divisional Police Headquarters.
