At least two people have lost their lives after a fuel-laden tanker collided with a tipper truck in the Sangotedo area of Lagos State.
The crash occurred in the early hours of Saturday on the busy Lekki–Epe Expressway, prompting an emergency response from the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service.
Margaret Adeseye, controller‑general of the service, confirmed the fatalities in a statement, saying officers rushed to the scene shortly after the incident. Details about the cause of the collision and the identities of the victims have not yet been released.
Authorities have advised motorists to exercise caution as cleanup operations continue in the area.
